Against the backdrop of a time of immense suffering and oppression for the Hebrew people, Moses’ parents are commended for their faith when they choose to trust in God to save their son and themselves, rather than to fear men. In the same way, we need to trust God not only for ourselves but also for the next generation. By trusting in God we find faith that will overcome our fears.

God took Enoch, so that he did not see death, because he was pleased with the faith he saw in him, and the way he walked with God. This speaks to us of the future for us. We look forward to eternity with God, because God also sees our faith in his son.
