A Church for the Poor
Martin Charlesworth leads Jubilee+, a Newfrontiers initiative to help the Church "be a champion of the poor and a means to healthy communities across the nation." His role with Jubilee+ has involved him advocating social policy to politicians, and studying best practices across the country. He has experience of both social action work and church leadership, enabling him to bring a helpful double-perspective to this vital issue.
We're excited that Martin has agreed to come and visit us in Edinburgh to talk about this and his new book A Church for The Poor, which he co-wrote with Natalie Williams (who spoke at our Missional Church Conference in 2016). As well as preaching at our services on Sunday, he will be leading a Saturday afternoon session on 3rd March, 3pm to 5pm, for anyone involved in social action and with a heart for those in need.
No sign up necessary, just come on the day at 3pm!
